Sunstone Metals Ltd (ASX:STM) CEO Malcolm Norris caught up with Proactive while on a site visit to the company's projects in Ecuador. At El Palmar in northern Ecuador, he says there is one drill rig operating with several new targets defined that will be drilled in early 2023. Meanwhile, at Bramaderos an initial resource estimate for Brama-Alba remains on track to be released next week.

Sunstone Metals' latest assay results confirm higher-grade copper and gold zones at El Palmar - Proactive
Sunstone Metals Ltd (ASX:STM)’s Malcolm Norris speaks with Proactive about the expansion of its known mineralisation area at the El Palmar gold-copper discovery in northern Ecuador. Sunstone’s managing director talks about the strong results that have confirmed higher-grade copper and gold zones at El Palmar. The company released assays from several drill holes. As the company drills more holes, it is gaining better understanding of the system. Norris says there are two key messages from the company’s latest announcement: the geometry which looks to be plunging to the north and secondly that it is seeing good consistent runs of higher copper values. The consistent higher copper grade, together with very good gold grades, means that when the company comes to release a gold equivalent number, it could deliver respectable numbers and reinforce mineralisation from surface. The company is still waiting on assays, so there is still plenty of newsflow. Norris also speaks about the results due from its work program at the Bramaderos Project in Southern Ecuador, with assays due in the next couple of weeks

Sunstone Metals quadruples land position near El Palmar with new acquisition - Proactive
Sunstone Metals' Malcolm Norris updates Proactive on a key expansion next to the explorer's El Palmar gold-copper find in Ecuador. On Tuesday, the company announced it had agreed to acquire the Verde Chico Project through a staged acquisition, quadrupling its land position west of El Palmar. Norris says the deal marked an "exceptional opportunity" for Sunstone to secure a large, highly prospective landholding close to the copper-gold discovery. Moving ahead, Sunstone will embark on a systematic exploration program, similar to that at the Bramaderos and El Palmar properties.

Sunstone Metals broadens Bramaderos gold-copper footprint ahead of MRE - Proactive
Sunstone Metals Ltd (ASX:STM)'s' Malcom Norris speaks with Proactive's Elisha Newell after the company expanded the Brama-Alba gold-copper porphyry system at its Bramaderos project in Southern Ecuador. The precious and base metal explorer has received more strong results for the camp, which extends the gold-copper discovery to 1.1 kilometres long and 400 metres wide. The latest results highlight higher-grade gold-copper zones near the surface — just before a maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) is scheduled to come out later this year.

Sunstone Metals says El Palmar delivering on grade and scale - Proactive
Sunstone Metals Ltd's Malcolm Norris discusses strong assays from four more holes in the upper 500 metres at El Palmar which he says confirm the project hosts a significant gold-copper porphyry discovery. Norris adds that early-stage deep drilling has intersected peripheral mineralisation in wallrock that is interpreted to be close to higher grade mineralisation.
